Crypto’s Dependence on Internet Connectivity

Crypto depends heavily on digital infrastructure, but internet outages, network disruptions and infrastructure failures can prevent users from accessing their assets or broadcasting transactions. This raises an interesting question about how resilient decentralised financial networks really are during large-scale outages. Some blockchain projects and payment systems are exploring ways to communicate transactions through alternative networks, but these solutions are not yet equivalent to normal internet connectivity. The issue is particularly relevant for countries or regions where reliable internet access isn’t guaranteed. How important should offline or alternative transaction methods be when designing the next generation of crypto networks?

Should The ISPs Provide A Better And Faster Internet At Cheaper Rates?

As many of you guys have seen, I'm very active in here and post some random questions once in a while so, here's today's question, "Should The ISPs Provide A Better And Faster Internet At Cheaper Rates?"

So, the answer is both yes and no.

Why yes?

Because it'll help in the following things:

1) Growth of technology and awareness in India.

2) Increase the online bussiness.

3) Make India one more step closer to compete from the USA.

4) Attract more and more people to get online and become smarter (Well, if you get what I mean).

5) And above all, downloading and uploading data at much faster rates (I'm feeling so high right now).

Why no?

Piracy. Now, this one word is much bigger than the five points I've stated above, due to it millions of dollars are pirated online everyday digitally in the form of games, movies, songs etc. (This reminds me of The Pirate Bay).

Well, how can ISPs improve their connection speed and lower the prices?

The clear answer is Optical Fibre lines, in India this work is going on, the govt. has taken the responsibility to lay down optical fibre lines but the work is very slow, I guess that it'll not get finished before 2018....

Where can I get the fastest internet connection in India if I wanted to?

Kerela: It has an insanely fast 1 GBPS internet connection which I think is provided by the govt. or IDK 'cause it's not stated anywhere.

Hyderabad: This city has Act Fibernet which provides 100 MBPS speed which is pretty good.

Any future of this?

Yes, there is if Google Fiber comes to India, it provides 1 GBPS internet connection for which we have to pay monthly and a one - time payment internet connection which gives us the average speeds of today's internet (Like USA or other high speed country).

Conclusion?

India seriously needs to higher the speeds and lower the rate of internet connections if it wants to compete with the world.

What APN settings should I use on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra?

I recently switched to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and mobile data isn't working properly with my SIM. Calls are fine but the internet either doesn't connect or keeps dropping. I came across the term APN while checking the network settings. Is there anything I need to change there?

Memecoins Are Looking for a Purpose Beyond Speculation

Memecoins have traditionally been associated with internet culture, speculation and community-driven hype, but some projects are trying to explore whether these tokens can develop more practical uses. Payments, loyalty programmes, gaming, social communities and digital identity are some of the areas where a memecoin could potentially evolve beyond its original purpose. The challenge is maintaining a community once the initial hype disappears and proving that people actually need the token. A strong brand can create attention, but utility needs to create lasting demand. Could the next generation of memecoins develop genuine use cases, or will speculation always remain their primary purpose?

Memecoins: Passing Trend or Permanent Part of Crypto?

Memecoins have moved from being internet jokes to becoming a significant part of the crypto market, attracting retail traders, influencers, and large communities. Critics argue that their speculative nature makes them risky and distracts from projects building real utility, while supporters believe memecoins have become a unique form of internet culture and a major way of attracting new users to crypto. Are memecoins still relevant to the future of the industry, or will their importance eventually fade?

Are Memecoins Here to Stay?

Memecoins started as internet jokes but have grown into a major part of the crypto market, attracting millions of users and generating billions in trading volume. While critics argue they encourage speculation and lack real utility, supporters believe they help onboard new users and build strong online communities. As the crypto industry evolves, will memecoins remain a permanent part of the ecosystem or gradually lose relevance?

Samsung Users Can Now Enable Network Speed Indicator on Galaxy Devices

For a long time, phones made by companies like Xiaomi, Vivo, and iQOO have had a built-in feature that shows how fast your internet is running. I just saw that Samsung is finally letting users enable a live internet speed indicator via their Good Lock (QuickStar) plugin on One UI 9. Has anyone else used it yet?
