Samsung to revise prices of some of its Galaxy A, Galaxy F, and Galaxy M series. Leaks have suggested that the changes would take place for models Galaxy A06 5G, Galaxy A07, Galaxy A07 5G, Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy F17 5G, Galaxy F07 and Galaxy M07, and indicate that the changes took effect on July 4.
I am interested to know if budget smartphones such as the Oppo K14 5G and Samsung Galaxy M17 5G are really powerful enough for everyday use.
I have noticed premium smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S26 series and Google Pixel 10 offering 256 GB storage in 2026. Do you think that 256 GB has now become a new normal in the premium smartphones?
With the Galaxy S26 Plus, Samsung is offering 7 years of major Android OS upgrades and 7 years of security patches, which is currently the longest in the flagship smartphones. I am hoping to see this trend in other brands, too, because I feel hardware alone cannot do enough to make a phone secure and updated.
I am seeing that portrait videos are improving in Samsung smartphones. While difficult lighting conditions affected the quality, the upgrades are improving the portrait videos. Someone I know has the Galaxy S26 Ultra and it was interesting to see that edge detection and transitions have been improved a lot. Probably not a marketing gimmick at all, but a worthy upgrade.
