With foldable smartphones getting slimmer, are they durable for daily use?

My wow factor with foldable smartphones is their flexibility. It lets me access multiple apps side-by-side. With these phones getting slimmer over generations, people question their durability. I want to change my regular smartphone for a foldable one. As a college student, I want a foldable phone that is durable, too. Can anyone here suggest a few options available in the market?
