What Happens When a Crypto Exchange Delists a Token?

A token can have an active community and thousands of holders, yet getting delisted from a major exchange can dramatically change its liquidity and visibility. Exchanges may remove assets because of low trading activity, regulatory concerns, security issues or changes in their listing standards. Once trading support disappears, investors may find it harder to buy or sell the token at a reasonable price. Delistings can therefore affect more than just the project itself, they can directly impact holders as well. Should investors check an exchange’s delisting policies before buying a token, or is that something only traders holding smaller projects need to worry about?
