What DSLR should I get?

Please suggest me a good DSLR. I need to finalize it by today. Please reply ASAP. I was suggested D5300 by a friend. Any pros or cons or alternative ?

Are you getting a DSLR because you have an interest/passion in photography? then DSLR is the way to go! but if you are buying a DLSR for the picture quality, you can get those with high end consumer cameras or compact system cameras. They give you near DSLR or DSLR quality with none of the technical learning curve and an easy to use interface.

Take a look at this link and hope it gives you some direction:

Saw a Flipkart deal few days back - Nikon D5200 (body) + 18-105mm lens for Rs. 45,500. Although the camera body is one generation old and might miss out on some minor features (certain video formats, iso, etc.), you'll still be sporting a better lens than the stock 18-55mm (which is barely x3.5 zoom).

Maybe you should rent a camera before buying it?

Semi pro models are 60D,70D,7D in canon and D7000,D7100 in Nikon ...but if you are new to this DSLR world you need not spend more on DSLR body
