Shops where you can try before you buy

For things like headphones, and some mobile accessories like gamepads, it's important to get a feel of it before you actually spend a lot of money to buy them. But with online sellers, that's obviously not an option. I've faced the same issue with a lot of retail outlets as well - so, do you have any favourite shops that let you properly try out products before you can buy them?

Which Croma do you guys go to? They're rather decent here in Mumbai.

At Croma they almost never have demo units in a decent condition for things other than TVs frowning

Here's how:

  1. Walk into a store with the intention to buy.
  2. Show them the money. Preferably in briefcases full of unmarked bills.
  3. ???
  4. Profit.

I know high-end audio stores do let you try things but a mid-range or entry-level place that does let you try things will have my business forever.

There isn't a single one. It is a travesty. Croma's test gadgets before you buy them is a farce.

Off the top of my head, Bose stores are excellent. If you ask for a demo of an expensive product, they even take you to a private demo room and the demonstration is sufficiently mindblowing. smile
