(Don't Buy Anything From Snapdeal) Snapdeal Defrauded Me, Again!

I ordered a XOLO Black a few days ago on 12th January and got it delivered on 16th January. In the description box of the product, the variant was described to have 3GB RAM. I was very happy when I got the device and it ran quite good until I loaded all of my apps in it. The multi-tasking performance was not good so, I thought that it's because of the HIVE Atlas ROM which the phone runs on as it is very buggy and is never updated.

On 29th January, I got really frustrated of the device because although it had 3GB RAM, it didn't work like it, leaving the software in it aside. So, I decided to do a few benchmarks on the device and I saw that it had ONLY 2GB OF RAM from the CPU-Z app. I instantly contacted Snapdeal support and asked for a refund and then they called me today.

They said, "Sorry sir, the 7 days time of returning the device is over, now we can't do anything regarding this."

So, what I can say about Snapdeal and how they defraud people is this:

  1. Firstly put a wrong description of an item.
  2. Let the buyer buy it.
  3. Change the description of the item as soon as it is delivered.
  4. Let the buyer do anything and complain, WE HAVE ALREADY GOT THE MONEY WITH US!

Also, I have a sick habit of taking screenshots of a product's description before buying it. I did the same for this one too. I'll be putting them over here too.

Notice that the seller of the device is "LAVA INT-GGN-Sohna BD-VOI" which sells the device which I've bought and then there's this seller "LAVA INT-HYD-MANDAL-VOI" which sells the 3GB variant of the XOLO Black so, I can't be lying because we can't do any kind of "Inspect Element" in their mobile app if they are thinking that I did this.

So, all I'd like to say is WTF SNAPDEAL? Even your competitor "Flipkart" also provides a 30-day return policy because they know that they don't run any frauds of this type.

THIS IS MY LAST PURCHASE WITH SNAPDEAL, BEFORE THIS, THE ALSO TRIED TO DEFRAUD ME WITH AN INFOCUS M330 WHICH I TRIED TO BUY, LOOK HERE: http://forum.gadgets.ndtv.com/t/infocus-m330-users-what-do-you-think-about-the-update-rolled-out-today-by-infocus/1889/1

Review of LeEco Le 1s - A Value For your Money!

Hello Folks,

I want to share a review of my #Superphone LeEco Le 1s, so I waited for months before
judging this phone. Here is my review after 3 months of usage.

  1. Design
The phone has a full metal body which feels great in hands. Also, it has thin bezels on
the side which are almost non-existent. The phone has been well-crafted and no
other phone feels this unbelievably premium at this price point. No other
phones in this price segment looks as beautiful as Le 1s.

  2. Display
The firstthing you’d notice after its metal design is its display. It has an 1080P Full
HD screen, which is just brilliant. The images are crisp with a high colour
contrast and saturation. It feels great to watch media.

  3. Fingerprint Sensor
There is a mirror finished fingerprint sensor on the back of the 1s, right above their branding.
Its accuracy is really good and its placement is just perfect. The index finger
naturally rests there no matter which hand you use it from and the device is
    automatically unlocked.

  4. 4K Recording
One neat feature hidden is that the phone capable of recording 4K videos. It can be
enabled by going into the camera settings while inside the camera. Frankly it
is not the best 4K camera out there, but it gets the job done. Most of the
phone cameras out there which record 4K cost about INR 50,000. Also, it is a
clever addition to the phone because they sell 4K TVs in China on which these
videos can be consumed. They intend to bring these TVs to India soon!

  5. Fast Charging
The LeEco Le 1s supports USB Type-C port at the bottom and it has a 3,000mAh battery which
is pretty average for everyday usage. It lasts half a day with heavy usage and
lasts full day if you are not a heavy user. It comes with support for fast
charging. My device is taking 1 hour 20 minutes to get fully charged.

  6. IR Blaster
On the top-right on the phone, there is a small IR blaster placed and the phone can be
used as a remote with a dedicated app which is preinstalled in the device. This
app can be used to control many home appliances like TVs, AC, etc. Also, they
let you make your own remote with custom IR functions.

  7. Dual SIM
LeEco 1s comes with dual SIM support, something that is common with most of the phones
these days. They can be accessed using a SIM eject tool and has support for one
Micro SIM and one Nano SIM. The best part of the dual SIM is that both the SIMs
support 4K at the same time!

  8. Price
Last but not least, the final reason to get this beautiful handset is its price. The Le 1s
is priced at INR 10,999/- which is tad lower when compared to phones with
similar features. The LeEco company has claimed that they are selling this
phone with a loss i.e. for less than bill of materials.

Customer's Inconvenience: Grievance Or Stupidity?

"Customer is the king. Customer is always right. Customer is important. Every customer counts." Blah. Blah. Blah. are what we always hear from everyone!

There is no organization that does not value their customers as they are the ones driving the entire business. It's a fact that every customer is important and many customers genuinely express their inconvenience. On the contrary, there is a whole new category of customers who choose to pick up the sword of social media platforms to ambush the budding startups.

Having a few years of experience working with startups, my personal experience compels me to write this blog in support of such firms who get to deal with a lot of crap like that. It is sad to have witnessed that a customer is called a king for a purpose which is surely not being fulfilled in today's date.

None of the customers possess the traits that a judicious king would possess in order to rule over his kingdom. Now days, despite having the choice of plethora of kingdoms, a customer opts to beat around the bush and only criticize.

This is just one example that I am quoting and you might wanna trust me that there are many like this one. While selling your items online, one is literally selling unwanted items and looks for some value in order to upgrade to a better technology.

Now you need to understand that one has to be honest enough to provide the exact details of their items in order to get a better price. I have witnessed the sheer stupidity of customers who do not understand the importance of a display in a smartphone. For a startup, getting the dead pixels or a broken screen fixed can cost a lot whereas a customer may treat that as "just a scratch".

In such a scenario, the customer is making a fool of himself and the poor startup who still tries to negotiate and requote the price to the customer and still offers a price in four digits only gets belted "shamelessly" on each and every social media platform.

It is not a good sight to have on any given day when an employee (also a customer within) logs on to his or her panel to see such stupidity. What may seem as a grievance to the entire world may actually result in being just a sheer stupidity.

"Cos what you see may not be the entire truth but only your perception".

P.S. - Be a responsible customer. Always read the terms & conditions before you write a negative review for a firm, whether established or a startup. Last but not the least, get away with the "chalta-hai attitude."

"Views are my own" - Issued in public interest - "Fun-hith mein jaari"
