My air purifier gets noisy at night when the fan speed goes up. Is that normal?

It is fine during the day, but the sound becomes noticeable when I am trying to sleep.

Yes, higher fan speeds can be quite noticeable. I keep mine on sleep or auto mode at night and it is much quieter.
