MacBook Air vs a Windows laptop under Rs.80,000: is macOS worth learning if you've always used Windows?

I'm considering a laptop upgrade and like the MacBook's portability, but most of my previous work has been on Windows. I don't want the switch to create unnecessary compatibility issues.
