Is wired audio still noticeably better than Bluetooth for casual listeners?

I am considering buying my first proper over-ear headphones. I keep hearing that wired headphones offer better sound, but I value convenience and don't listen to lossless music.

For casual listening, a good Bluetooth pair is more than enough. Wired makes more sense if you care about audio quality and don't mind the cable.
