I was going to buy a 1.5-ton AC, then someone told me the new Daikin model would be overkill for my room

My room is not very large, but it gets afternoon sun and stays hot for hours. Now I am more confused about capacity than the brand.

Room size and heat load matter more than simply choosing the newest model. I would get the capacity right first.
