I do not want a purifier loaded with features I will never use. What should I actually pay for?

Some models come with many extra features that sound useful, but my main concern is simply getting safe drinking water.

Agree! Prioritise the purification of water and rest if it comes then good otherwise the healthy sip is all you need.
