Galaxy Z Flip8 is asking for a PUK code. What should I do?

My SIM suddenly got locked and my Galaxy Z Flip8 is asking for a PUK code. I’ve never had to deal with this before, so I don’t want to enter random numbers. Is the PUK linked to the phone or the SIM?

Check your original SIM packaging too. Sometimes the PUK is mentioned there.

I contacted my operator and they gave me the PUK after verifying my details.

Don’t keep guessing. Too many wrong attempts can block the SIM.
