Crypto Regulation Should Protect Users Without Making Innovation Impossible

Regulators are increasingly trying to define how exchanges, stablecoin issuers and other crypto businesses should operate. Some oversight is necessary, particularly when customer assets are involved, but rules that are too restrictive could push useful projects towards less transparent jurisdictions. The real challenge is to distinguish between safeguards that genuinely protect users and requirements that simply make it harder for smaller companies to compete. Good regulation should make crypto safer without turning the industry into a playground for only the biggest firms.
