Are Mini LED TVs a better long-term purchase than regular QLED TVs?

I am planning to buy a TV for my living room and keep seeing Mini LED models being recommended. Is the improvement in contrast and brightness noticeable enough to justify the higher price?

I would choose Mini LED if you watch a lot of HDR content or use the TV in a bright room. A good QLED can still be enough for everyday viewing.
