8GB RAM in a 2026 laptop is a paperweight (this is a discussion, not question)


With the recent worldwide RAM crisis and the rise of AI, 8GB of RAM on laptops is barely enough in 2026. Chrome itself takes about half the memory. So, I think at least 12GB of RAM is necessary for all tasks.
