Why do I keep seeing ads on my phone? How do I make it stop?

I frequently see ads on my phone. My tech-savvy friend configured that it is happening because of few settings, such as app permissions, browser tracking or could be a malware. How can I make it stop?

Usually many app ads are generated for revenue, others are just push notifications. But you can stop them by changing some settings of your phone. Disable suspicious or unused apps. You can also turn off personalised ads in settings.
