Tablets seem to sit somewhere between phones and laptops. Where do they actually make the most sense?

I already have a phone and laptop, so I am trying to understand what a tablet would genuinely add instead of becoming another screen I barely use.

Tablets are particularly useful for reading, note-taking, media consumption, drawing and light work. They can be a good middle ground when a phone feels too small and laptop seems too bulky.
