Some TVs seem surprisingly expensive even with similar screen sizes. What usually causes the price gap?

I noticed two TVs of the same size can have a big difference in price. Trying to understand what I am actually paying extra for.

The difference can come from the panel type, picture processor, refresh rate, sound system, software and overall build quality.
