Just got an Airtel eSIM. How to activate?

Someone just gifted me an iPhone 17 bought from the US. While the phone is good, one of the drawbacks is not having a physical SIM slot. This has caused me to get an eSIM for my connection. Any tips on how to activate it?

To upgrade to an eSIM, first download the Airtel app and log in using your phone number. On the homepage, tap Shortcuts and select the Upgrade to eSIM option. Choose whether you want to use the eSIM on this device or another device. Then, enter the device's 32-digit EID number to receive an OTP. Finally, enter the OTP sent to your registered Airtel phone number to complete the process.
