Is the “quick wash” mode actually useful or just something that sounds good on the box?

I noticed almost every washing machine advertises a quick wash option. Wondering if people actually use it for normal clothes or if it compromises the cleaning.

I actually use it quite a lot for lightly worn clothes. For proper dirty clothes though, regular wash works better for me.
