Is 256GB Enough on the Samsung Galaxy S26 in 2026?

I have noticed that there is no microSD card slot on the Samsung Galaxy S26 . Currently, I am using 50 apps on my phone. I am planning to switch to the Samsung Galaxy S26 this month. Will 256GB be sufficient or 512GB is the safer option long term?

512 GB allows you to create 8k videos, and I am considering this phone to be used for a long time.

I switched from iPhone 17 Promax to Samsung Galaxy s26 , and have already used 256 GB and still have 176, and that is enough.

If you are a casual user and backing everything on Drive and Photos, then 256 GB is plenty.

I take a lot of pictures, and I try not to rely on cloud storage, so I think 512GB is enough for me.
