I keep seeing 3-star and 5-star ACs everywhere. How much difference does that rating make?

The higher-rated models cost more, so I am trying to understand whether the extra money actually makes sense over regular use.

The star rating mainly indicates energy efficiency. A higher-rated AC can use less electricity and vice versa.
