Does a bigger TV actually make sense if my sofa is pretty close to the screen?

I have a small living room and was initially planning for a 55-inch TV. Now I’m wondering if I’m just buying a bigger screen because it looks impressive in the store.

I had the same thought and honestly went with a smaller one. My sofa is quite close and 55-inch felt a bit too much.
