Is a microwave actually useful for cooking or does everyone mostly use it for reheating?

I’m thinking of buying one but don’t know how much I’d actually cook in it. Most of my use would probably be leftovers and frozen food.

Mine is probably 80 percent reheating lol. I still use it enough to say it was worth buying though
